Birthday Time

Tonight we celebrated Josh's 25th Birthday. We went out to an izakaya (Japanese style pub), and were treated to some yummy food, good drinks and very badly sung karaoke (by me of course!)Adelle made a wonderful cake. It looked so professional. I can't believe she actually made it herself. It was a macha cream cake. Macha is the Japanese Green Tea that they use in the tea ceremonies. It's not so great to drink, but as a cake it was delicious.
This box was next to a window we couldn't open. It has some instructions on it as to how to make a rope to climb down out of the window in case of an emergency or really bad karaoke...
This is PJ singing karaoke. He holds the microphone like a pro don't you think?!PJ and James got all cosy and sang "You've Lost That Loving Feeling".... Very touching....James and his mate (I wasn't formally introduced so I don't know his name), who were somewhat intrigued by the furigana (the Japanese writing on top of the words so that Japanese people can sing too)
You have to keep Megan away from those soy beans! She's an addict! When you have drinks, you are normally served "Edomame", which are salty soy beans. They are really good with alcohol! No one would sing "Happy Birthday" to Josh, so he did it himself.
There was a Lazy Susan in the middle of the table. It was full of great food and some not so great food (namely fish...). The big glass in the foreground is my Kiwi Fruit Sour. It's a fizzy alcoholic drink with real kiwi fruit mashed in it. It's a wonderful drink. I went through four of them!

Good to see you are combining some healthy ingredients (kiwi fruit) with your alcohol intake.
That birthday cake looked incredible. Happy Birthday Josh.
Love from Muff

You should apply for a Distance Campus Committee position. Now that you are at deakin.

My suggestion would be Distance Campus Networking and Communications Support Representative. Money for not much work at all.
