Let's do timing how long it takes to heat the bath!

Hello whoever reads this...

I am soooooo friggin' homesick at the moment. I HATE snow!!!! Today I seriously considered impulsively buying a ticket back home for Christmas... Anyway, tonight I went to the gym and it made me feel better, but I come outside and it's all slushy goop. My pants are all wet and soggy :(

So normally after the gym I come home and heat my bath up. Normally it takes about 15 minutes. I thought I would have some fun with it and see how long it will take to heat up tonight, seeing it is zero degrees outside (I reckon it's colder in my apartment because of no insulation)..

11:04pm: Start the heating!!!!
11:10pm: Ummm, is the heater actually working?!?!
11:17pm: I'm pretty sure I paid my gas bill....
11:25pm: It's getting there!!!
11:35pm: Just a few more minutes!!!
11:41pm: Done!

OK, Bye Bye!

Oh you poor thing!!
While on holidays in Tassie Goo and I had a swim in a freezing river! We had to chip a hole in the ice to do so and were attacked by icecubes instead of sharks!
And you are complaining about a lukewarm bath. What a sissie!!
Lol.

Hey sounds like what i'm going through up here in Sweden. its always around 0 degrees outside, and down to -8 sometimes. But i have to admit the heating is pretty good and the hot water coming out of the taps is close to boiling!! I guess its easy to see why you're homesick being in such a cold, slushy environment and a completely new culture. I think i have a bit of the opposite here really. Besides the freezing temperature, it feels the same as being at home. Try and keep your spirits up and keep in touch with people at home, it always makes me feel better..

Bye for now,
George

I think you have the same weather as we have here. Much rain and temperatures between 2 and 6 degrees at the moment.
Last week the half of Holland was not to reach by car or train, because of the large amount of snow
and some cities did not have electricity for 53 hours!
So we are not homesick but looking out for summer , but that will take a long time!
Hope you feel better soon.
Cheers, Piet and Nel from Holland

I'm also home sick. Sick of staying home. I want to go on another holiday. I have a temporary cure though. I'm going shopping.
Stay warm. I am sending you two sets of thermals that I had no use for on our trek in Tassie.
Lots of Love and a big hug from Muff

lol didnt realise you had another friend called jason, i'll use snark from now on.

heh it didnt snow at christmas where I was so it was kinda dissapointing when I was in japan, i was hoping i would be able to see a white christmas, which you probably will if the weather keeps up as it is. Too bad about the heating process but you could always leave it going and wait in the kotatsu if you have one of those in your apartment. really depends whos paying your electricity bills hehe.

Alkmaar here (Jan&Emmy. Didn't you have an uncle living in Alkmaar as well?)

Since we use a Fujutsi (-Siemens) laptop (and they tend to break down regularly.....) we are a bit late to respond on your cry for (emotional) warmth. Is this the modern, innovating Japan we have in mind?

Keep up your nice blog, we really like it. Every sundaynight we have a look to see what you have to tell us. Being a little disappointed when you haven't found the time or spirit to update.
Being homesick has inspired less talented writers to come up with pieces of art, so......

cheers, Jan & Emmy
